French Revolution must-read suggestions for 8th grade needed! Thanks! (nt)

It's slightly post-Revolution but for me personally was a good antidote to the "all French revoluntionaries are good guys" mentality I'd picked up from repeated viewings of the touring show of Les Miserables. Regardless of its historical accuracy, however, it's just a fun read.

We watched Scarlet Pimpernell, and my 7th grader read the Usborne version of Tale of Two Cities (the author's grand-daughter is the editor). I admit I've never read the whole thing, but I thought it was a very good version - tho' too graphic for my 4th grader.

My dd enjoyed a book called The Golden Hour. It is about time travel. Four children travel back in time to the French Revolution and discover things about themselves in the process. It would be light reading for an eighth grader. I read it aloud to her in third grade.
