happycc
Is it me or is that the lessons plans for MEP1 doesn't correspond exactly to the activity book questions? There are a few extra questions in the activity book not shown on the lesson plan and then the copy masters don't seem to match either. Is it my pregnancy or is there a mistake? cloudswinger
We're doing MEP2(as a supplement to RS), but I find the lesson plans to be a bit overkill for a single child. They're designed for a classroom. There's some other stuff they do in the lesson plan to keep the kids engaged/occupied. You're supposed to teach whatever's in the lesson plan, and the worksheet is supposed to reinforce the lesson. But, honestly, I just give my dd the worksheet, and when she gets stuck I'll help her. I don't recall this being the case other than I think I remember that some of the lesson plan activities didn't have a corresponding sheet in the copymasters file (I just wrote these out). Could you give me a lesson number so I can see what you mean? ETA: I didn't bother with the colour posters. Never did figure out the numbering system. I have found that the lessons are blank for several entire lessons that I have activity sheets for. Part of it might be the pregnancy ;), but I think I am seeing something similar to what you are mentioning.

In Y3, some extension activities are added to some Day 5s.
blondeviolin
We used most of Y1 and are working in Y2 and I haven't seen anything that doesn't line up... The copymasters sometimes don't go in straight order, but only because copymaster 9/2 may fit better on the page with 9/4 and because 9/3 is a full page copymaster, for example. LittleIzumi
Sometimes they only give you instruction for some of the worksheet, or let you pick which of the worksheet activities to do and it's just a note at the bottom of the page, as the instructions are on the worksheets themselves. lovintolearn
Since it's made for the classroom, the extra questions are in case a student finishes early and needs to keep busy. Also some of the questions are more challenging for gifted (or advanced) students. For us we set a time limit on math, and whatever questions are left are done on the fifth day. Sometimes we even take a couple, or even a few, days to go over the lesson plans and questions.

We do all the activities and Ext. activities, but those "for the entire class" I either scale back to make it reasonable for one child (e.g. two or three responses instead of 15) and I become part of the brainstorming, essentially playing the part of the other students. stripe
They finally put up the few questions in Y1A that reference the textbook at http://www.cimt.plymouth.ac.uk/projects/mepres/primary/Tx1a.pdf
