Ali in OR
I'm just starting to look at Writing Tales I and it looks like I should buy the Arnold Lobel Fables book and the Squids will be Squids book because they are used several times throughout the year (and they're pretty cheap). Did anyone skip them as not necessary, or successfully use them from the library? There are a couple of other books mentioned, but it looks like they are used once or twice only. Anything else worth having on hand?
TracyR
Well so far we haven't used them. It hasn't taken away or changed the program . I am thinking of getting the books just for something fun to read though .

Tina in WA
I have a fables book already, so that isn't an issue for me. You could find fables online to read though. I checked out the squids book from the library. My son loves these poems. :) He reads them to dad all the time. We can keep the book for 3 check outs (3 weeks per check out), as long as no one puts a hold on it. We have been blessed to have it for awhile now. :)
Testimony
Only because my library had all the books I needed. I just kept checking them out on the different family members' card. So, we got about a year for year book.:D Blessing in your homeschool journey! Karen http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/testimony
