HappyGrace
I hope it's ok to post this on the hs board-I figure more of you have BTDT than those of us on the Logic Stage Board! I don't see a lot about this program on the boards, so wanted opinions, comments, etc. This is for a non-mathy 12 yo dd who has done CLE math through 6. Since we may do school the following year and need to be on track, I'd rather have a one-year true pre-algebra program rather than continuing with CLE (it calls BOTH 7 and 8 their pre-algebra). Spiral math works best for her so I thought Horizons might be a good fit. Thanks!
ChicoryChick
We used Horizons Pre-Algebra this past year with dd13. We liked the format, but I found the Teacher's Guide to be lacking in actual instruction. They would use a basic example but then the very first problem would be more complex w/o actual instruction. I would have to look at the answers to the problems because there isn't any explanation in the TM.
HappyGrace
Thanks so much-that would be a HUGE problem for us. I'm actually looking for MORE instruction for her, so this won't work. Thanks again!
