Bang!Zoom!
Says "Grade 1" on it. Is that for a DoD job grade, like an employment test for spies? That's what I came up with. :)
Snickerdoodle
The answer is 57. Get with the program. It's not the right answer that counts. It's whether we came to a consensus or not. :LOL
AK_Mom4
The answer is clearly...... 42 !!!

Bang!Zoom!
This has got to be a psyche test. If one admits to knowing how many Jack has, then one admits to having insider information not disclosed to the General Public. It's a set-up. A conspiracy. It's just a sneaky way to get people to admit they know Jack.
Farrar
My kids couldn't agree if the answer should be "none" or "that's crazy!"
Grover
I showed it to DS who read it, frowned, read it again and started laughing... "That's impossible!"
beaners
Our math program includes occasional questions at that level where the intended answer is that you don't have enough information. It wouldn't be as funny, but maybe that's the case here? :001_smile:

Lara in Colo
I thought it was funny that if you add the numbers, it is the same as the page number.

SunnyDays
My son's response: hysterical laughter followed by, "oh brother!" Myself, I like the spy theory... :leaving:
Dmmetler
DD7 suggested that maybe this was a place to use an imaginary number :). (she's infatuated with the idea of imaginary numbers-I think she visualizes them as being something like faeries and unicorns).
alpidarkomama
Okay... I spent 5 minutes pondering why everyone else seemed to get the joke and I DIDN'T. Maybe it was a tv show reference? Maybe a book? Maybe a ????? Then I fell off my chair in a heap of giggles. Guess I'm a little slow tonight... :001_rolleyes:
