Sharilynn29
What would you require for a high school P.E. course? My ds is not involved with any team sports, but is very physically active. I don't want to give him a credit for something that I can't qualify. We also rollerblade for 3 hours a week. What about that?
Julie in MN
I remember discussing this before. Here's one of my posts about my dd: http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3532471&postcount=21 I'd assume the other posts on that thread would have some ideas, too? For my ds, less intentional planning is required on my part. He does a ton of stuff on his own, is really into weightlifting this year and continues to do other activities as well (ice hockey, swimming, etc). However, I *do* try to add some sort of "teaching" to make it a class. I've had him look up protein/nutrition issues in a textbook, consult with a physician about growth and exercise, and he takes a YMCA homeschool class that tries to teach balance in games/activities alongside warmups/etc. I also told him that he is to outline what he has done for his credit.
