sassenach
I've looked over the book lists and I'm just wondering, for those using her plans, how much time do you devote to this? Is this an enrichment subject or does it take the place of something else in your schedule? This is on my list of things that looks fun, but I'm not sure if I have the time in our schedule. Thanks for any input,
Plaid Dad
I don't use the lesson plans, but we have picked up some of the books as a change of pace from our math workbooks. Dd was getting seriously burned out and "hating math." Living books have made a difference in her motivation and interest in math, and that's well worth it to me. triadofchaos
i'm planning on just plopping a lesson in here and there at the appropriate point in our history plans. so we wont do it all together, just bits and pieces here and there.
angela in ohio
I don't use anyone else's plan, either. Here living math is: K-2: one living math book read two days per week 3-6: one longer book read per week Sorry not very helpful as far as the site goes, but I have been doing this for 6 years and the results have been great!! dragons in the flower bed
I've looked over the book lists and I'm just wondering, for those using her plans, how much time do you devote to this? Is this an enrichment subject or does it take the place of something else in your schedule? Math is one of my two priorities, so we have made the time for it in our weekly schedule. My plan is to spend an hour a week reading to the kids from the lesson plans, and give them the option of doing the included activities.
