HollyDay
My family has had a sinus/sore throat/achy bug. It lasts about 3 days to a week, then you feel tired and worn out about 5 days and it is over. I was getting much better until I did way too much yesterday. By lunch I was really tired. By dinner I was coughing. Today, I've got a raspy voice and a very annoying cough. And I'm really tired. I bought some cough syrup yesterday evening and did sleep pretty well. Time to go to doc or wait it out with cough syurp, advil, lots of fluids, vit C, rest?
Butter
I'm right there with you, but it's my oldest and youngest. I've been debating in my mind all day about when it'll be time to go to the doctor if at all. No advice, but hoping others have some! Sweetbeebie
We had this same thing going on in various degrees about a month ago. I hate to say it last for a good month peaking to a can't move the last wk. Granted we very well may have had 2 different viruses back to back. The final week ended with my 2 youngest with 104/105 fever. The pediatrician said the flu...mine didn't go past feeling really icky for SO long..Hope yours doesn't last as long:)
besroma
This seems to have been common in many different areas. For us, it was just a very long virus combined with allergies.
HollyDay
This seems to have been common in many different areas. For us, it was just a very long virus combined with allergies. I wondered about the allergy part. No fever, no yucky colored drainage. I'm going to go with the virus idea for another few days anyway. This cough is just miserable though! HiddenJewel
If there is no sign of bacterial infection, I would be waiting it out. No use paying for a visit when I just have to let the virus runs its course.
