Kfamily
Sharing some science resources... I have some dvds from the thrift store by Howard Hughes Medical Institute. They are from their Holiday Lectures on Science. Anyway, I was hoping to find the lecture notes (lol) after watching the first one last night. I was following along fine, until a little later in the lecture (and granted I was very tired) when I decided I not only needed to watch it over, but also that lecture notes would be nice. I didn't find the lecture notes, but I did find that the lectures I have as well as some others (and these are old btw, so maybe not useful to some of you) at their site. Here it is: http://www.hhmi.org/biointeractive/lectures/index.html I was also thrilled (a lot ) because I had just picked up Microbe Hunters by Paul de Kruif and the lecturer I watched last night (the first one from 2000 and Beyond: Confronting the Microbe Menace) began by stating that Microbe Hunters was one of two books that he read as a young man which began his interests. I found these worksheets to go along with Microbe Hunters: http://teachersites.ladue.k12.mo.us/lhwhs/kantonelli/Mrs_Antonelli_Bio_Chem/Biology_Classes_files/Microbe%20Hunters%20Book%20Report%20Worksheet.pdf Just thought I'd share...
