So we are reading A Jury of Her Peers

Recommended Posts

So, we are reading "A Jury of Her Peers" written in 1917 and my son wonders if this view towards women shown by the attorney and sheriff is exaggerated or if this was a common or the majority view towards women at that time. For those of you who haven't read the story, the simple summary of the view is that women are stupid. Do you have any suggested resources that would answer this question?

Thank you!
