Belacqua
The fourth Benedict book is coming out very soon (April 10, according to Amazon). Have you read From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler? That might be an option for you.

Hikin' Mama
We really liked the series about the life of Ralph Moody. They were kind of like the Little House series, but the main character is a boy. I think the first one was called Little Britches.

MeaganS
I second the Westing Game. Also the Pushcart War was good. The Invention of Hugo Cabret might be good for a bit too.
Erica in OR
You might like Gregor the Overlander or the Charlie Bone series. Erica in OR
Mothersweets
The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place is a similar read. :iagree:We loved this one at our house!! How old are your kids? That might help narrow down the choices a bit.
