lynn
We are planning a trip in June. We have been through it but never really spent time there. Best places to eat and what not to miss. TIA
Down_the_Rabbit_Hole
Natural Bridge Caverns is fantastic. We enjoyed this much better then Sea World. Also the Bat Cave is near there too.
Bambam
A not to be missed museum that your kids will probably talk about for the rest of their lives: http://www.unusualmuseums.org/toilet/ The Alamo (of course) Taking a water taxi cruise on the River Walk
KRG
My favorite thing is the River Walk. There's also the Alamo and several other missions in driving distance. There are lots of touristy museums downtown. Seaworld, imo, is ok. We have also enjoyed the zoo and children's museum. A fun place to eat is http://cheesyjanes.com/ and just about any restaurant on the River Walk(be prepared to pay a little more for those). ZooRho
yes the Alamo and River walk- try to get down to the older part of the river walk. the zoo is cool. and when we are there Fil takes us to the out of the way places hole in the wall places. But Raspas by the alamo, and Bluebell Ice cream if you don't get it where you are.

jennsmile
The Witte museum is fun too especially if you have membership from another science center that transfers.

This is a great museum, fun and hands on. Check with them though, they offer a free day each week. The River Walk was ok, but take the river cruise, it is very interesting.
