ZooRho
We went to see "What We Carry" this was an amazing movie. It was so crowded way beyond their expectations today. So sadly we did not get to meet the 2 survivors that were there. If you get a chance look to see if it is in your area. Or if you can help to get it to your areas. During the presentation the audience sang the US national anthem and then the Israeli national anthem. This was really cool for us, we are studying 20th centry for school this year. What We Carry http://www.tcc.edu/news/stories/spring12/WhatWeCarry.htm http://jewishva.org/holocaust-what-we-carry Two Emmy-winning television producers in Los Angeles, Amber Howell and Janice Engel, and photojournalist Josh Rothstein came to Hampton Roads in March of 2010 to extensively interview and film survivors David Katz, Dana Cohen, Hanns Loewenbach, and Kitty Saks. Using raw footage and archival footage, as well as photos of all of the artifacts and memorabilia the four still have from their Holocaust experiences, they created four short films, one based on each survivor’s experiences and reflections. and an interesting side note I sat beside a Jewish woman who hseed her children, the oldest of which is 32.
