Plucky
I'm looking for bedding. I want something soft and comfy so it feels good to crawl into bed at night after a long day of classes and studying. Any suggestions? The dorm sets look scratchy.
In The Great White North
Get 100% cotton - it's the polyester in them that make them scratchy, especially after washing & drying a few times.
endurancerider
I bought a few sets at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They had quite a few to choose from at the time (not sure about now) with varying prices. :001_smile:
justamouse
Marshalls, Home Goods and TJ MAxx. You can get crazy count cotton sheets there for next to nothing.

momofkhm
You may need to wait until they have the back to school sales. That when I just see XLTwin sets without actually searching for them.
Brenda in MA
I'd recommend looking for sales on-line at either Lands End or The Company Store if you want really nice quality sheets. They will be a little more money, but if they are washed regularly, they will last through college, and they will be comfortable. One of the worst purcashes I've ever made with regard to bedding was a dorm "bed in a bag" set from Bed Bath & Beyond. The comforter filling bunched up after only a couple of washes, and the comforter and flat sheet were both very short -- not at all comfortable for a 6' tall kiddo. Since then, for what I spent on that set, I've been able to piece together a set of comforter & sheets from The Company Store and Lands End, and they've held up very well after 3 years of use. momofkhm
Do you know when they start? Around here in July. We have year round (public) schools. But the sheets will come out right before the colleges go back and isn't that in August?
Photo Ninja
My dc love their TwinXL flannel sheets. Some are from Penneys and some from Bed Bath and Beyond. The flannel is very soft, warm and cozy on a cold night. Their other sheets are 100% cotton, and not the cheapest sets because the cheapest sheets are rough. Hoggirl
We bought XLong Twin sheets at Wal-mart. They are the "t-shirt" kind - stretchy material.
delaney
pottery barn teen has mostly XL sheets. They wear well and I grab their brand when they are on clearance.
moki4
Target has bamboo sheets. These are like butter, and just heavenly! I have found that they sell out quite quickly...so keep your eyes open.
