Is there a modern history that takes you all the way to the present?

William Bennett's A Century Turns: New Hopes, New Fears is 1988 thru the 2008 election. He wrote America: The Last Best Hope which has two volumes. This book is also titled America The Last Best Hope Volume III, (when I compared the tables of contents they looked identical, and the reviews were mixed, so that seems obvious.) We're really enjoying the first volume, and I plan to use the second and third volumes, too.

:iagree: I learned SO MUCH last year about the 20th century using TOG! It was my favorite year of Tapestry. TOG did a great job of demonstrating how the ideas and actions of the first half of the century led to the conditions and attitudes many hold today.

I am so happy to hear this! We are thinking about switching to ToG for my oldest this fall. I am hoping to get a look at it if we can make it to our homeschool convention.
