Lainey
I would like something that takes us up to at least 9-11. My son likes modern history and wants to know more about the most recent history. I would like something by a Christian publisher, if possible.
Rosie_0801
I wouldn't have a clue, but books by foreign correspondents are a good place to continue after a curriculum leaves off. Rosie
LBS
William Bennett's A Century Turns: New Hopes, New Fears is 1988 thru the 2008 election. He wrote America: The Last Best Hope which has two volumes. This book is also titled America The Last Best Hope Volume III, (when I compared the tables of contents they looked identical, and the reviews were mixed, so that seems obvious.) We're really enjoying the first volume, and I plan to use the second and third volumes, too.

Leanna Tomlinson
Tapestry of Grace Year 4 goes up to President Obama :iagree: I learned SO MUCH last year about the 20th century using TOG! It was my favorite year of Tapestry. TOG did a great job of demonstrating how the ideas and actions of the first half of the century led to the conditions and attitudes many hold today. We are thinking about switching to ToG for my oldest this fall. I am hoping to get a look at it if we can make it to our homeschool convention.
