1bassoon
Or is it just me? I had my first cleaning in over 2 years - I'm so thankful, it was a good experience (the hygenist was VERY good and gentle with all my plaque). But now - I'm home, and feeling like I need to lie down. Tired, woozy, bleh. What is wrong? Am I just a wimp?
Cinder
It's not just you. We all had our cleanings in the past couple weeks. Ds2 was commenting how it takes a whole day to get the taste of the cleaning out of his mouth. Ds1 is like you--after a cleaning he's pretty much done with the day. He can't get anything else done; it just wears him out. Today will be extra draining for him--he's getting a cavity filled.
Hilltop
Did they give you a flouride treatment? I used to vomit after having flouride treatments and I now refuse them.
Jean in Newcastle
Cleanings are good but they do release a lot of bacteria into your mouth.
OH_Homeschooler
I think I get more stressed about cleanings than cavity fillings. (Don't get me wrong, it's all stressful, but the scraping and poking and flossing is all too much!). So yeah, routine dental visits are draining to me. Alenee
After my last cleaning, the hygienist commented, "Time for a nap?" YEP! I always need a nap after every dental visit.
catz
I don't think that's weird at all! Especially after 2 years. I find mine go smoother and I'm less stressed if I do every 6 months and I floss all the time.
Tap
If your gums bleed, swallowing that will definitely make you queasy!
stripe
I feel so nervous that I think the recovery is sort of exhausting.
