acrosier
Hi, I am considering starting Miquon Math with my 9 year old. We have been using Singapore US Ed. since 1st grade with no supplements. I'm hoping it will help my D become more interested in math in general, maybe bring out some of her creativity in a 'mathier way'. Does anyone have an opinion of what book we should start with, or even if this could help? Thanks for you help with this.:001_smile:
Carpe
I don't know if you could. Miquon is meant to be grades 1,2 and 3. So all of it would be review. IMO, the value of Miquon is playing with math. It's not the same game when you know the answers (from another method). There might be some value to it. There are other c-rod resources intended for older kids. CourtneySue
Yes, I think you can. I bought the "Red Book" for my son and he's never done the "Orange Book" because I knew after looking at the orange one that it was going to be way to easy for him. And we've had no trouble at all. I'm using the Orange Book with my 5yo.
