lorilou
Looking for recommendations for great audiobooks to listen to on our road trip to the Grand Canyon! We listened to The Sign of the Beaver when we took a trip through Maine...Little House on the Prairie as we traveled through Oklahoma and Missouri....what are some good ones for going through New Mexico and Arizona? ezrabean2005
I don't know about region specific titles, but our kids love hearing the entire Chronicles of Narnia series on our semi-annual trips to OK.

momto2Cs
I don't have a recommendation specific to the area you're traveling, BUT I would highly recommend The Phantom Tollbooth, with David Hyde Pierce. The main character, Milo, is traveling throughout the book, so it is traveling related at least, and immensely enjoyable!
milovany
We love listening to the Freddie the Detective books when we're on a big trip. All ages seem to enjoy them and they're both well-told and funny.
jar7709
Brighty of the Grand Canyon? :iagree: Wonderful story which my kids really enjoyed. But we did it as a read-aloud before we went there. Many editions have wonderful illustrations that are enriching.
Jaz
Hank the Cowdog is fun for all ages. If you're a YE Christian, you could listen to this at the Canyon.
Scarymelon
Definitely a Western. Zane Grey or a Louis L'amour? I really liked listening to John Steinbeck's Travels with Charlie as a family.

Hilltop
How old are your children? I am an AZ native and will try to think of some regional favorites besides Brighty.
