Need Spanish help -- what I'm looking for...

We will be finishing up level 2 of La Clase Divertida in a few months. While we have enjoyed the DVD lessons, the workbook STINKS. (in my humble opinion.)

I need something with better review and assignments through the week.

But I need it to already be done for me or I won't get to it. (while I love researching and hunting online for worksheets and such, I just don't have time left to do that.)

I would love some type of DVD lesson, we are doing this with 2 other families and meet weekly.

Any suggestions???

We just finished up La Clase 2 as well. We began with La Clase 3, even though this program has not been my cup of tea (too much immersion-style teaching for me). My dd especially enjoys it and I had purchased levels 2 and 3 last year when they were having their 50% off sale.

The other dvd program I was/am? planning on switching to once we finished with La Clase is Spanish for Children by Classic Academic Press. It is a grammar-based program. I'm not sure it will be what you are looking for, though.

I have also purchased So You Really Want to Learn Spanish by Galore Park and was considering just working on mastering the vocab in level 1 and maybe level 2 next year before completely jumping into it, but it does not have dvds.

I have heard people talk about Elementary Spanish, which is available on Discovery Streaming. I'm not sure if that would be available to you or if it's even what you are looking for, but maybe. I think I would do a board search for Elementary Spanish and Spanish for Children and see what you think of those.

You are welcome, Candace! I hope you find what you are looking for. If you find something fantastic, be sure to update and let us all know what it is.

Lisa, I think Spanish for Children may be exactly what we're looking for!! Thanks! :) The teacher on the DVD sample lesson doesn't look wonderfully exciting or fun...but it's better than me teaching it, which is what I'm going for. The workbook is great...and I think we need to start on the grammar anyway since we've done NO verbs or conjugating yet...

Thanks again!!

That's great! I may have to buy the first level of SfC myself so I can make up my mind about what we're going to do next year.
