RainbowSprinkles
I'm reading around on the Brave Writer website and one of the things mentioned is Tuesday Teas. I think I would like to give this a shot. What are your favorite poetry books ?

Smith An Illustrated Treasury of Read-Aloud Poems for Young People Edward Lear's Complete Nonsense Robert Louis Stevenson's A Child's Garden of Verses Edited to add: The Year Around might be hard to find, but it's a great resource for seasonal poems for memory work. HappyCamper
We also do Tuesday Tea. Our favorites include Jack Prelutzky and Shel Silverstein. Both tend to focus on humor and keep it light.

I just checked Amazon. It's good, but I wouldn't pay hundreds of dollars for a used copy!:svengo:
Aurelia
We like Favorite Poems, Old and New and Be Glad Your Nose is on Your Face. DD has been on a poetry kick lately so we've read Beskow's Around the Year, A Child's Garden of Verses, Poems to Read to the Very Young (I got it when DD was a baby, but it's illustrated by Eloise Wilkin, whose artwork we both love) and looked at a couple of different volumes of Mother Goose rhymes.
