lamolina
Hello- I am making plans for then next school year and am trying to decide on history. We will be doing ancients and I am thinking I might want to use SOTW with AG for my younger 2 who will be 6 and 8, but add in SL and/or VP books for my oldest who will be 11. Has anyone made any kind of schedule or chart doing something like this? Or have any different suggestions? I also have the Oxford Ancients set so I could use those also for ds 11. Thanks for any guidance! Nicole
ByGrace3
We are doing SOTW 1 this year, and we added in lit from SL, VP, TOG, and the SOTW AG. I have the spreadsheet on my blog.
Chris in VA
I know there's a chart with Sonlight books in WTM order you might look into. I think it's on paulasarchives.
lamolina
Nicole- thanks so much for sharing your link. This is exactly what I am looking for, but I need one for 6th grade! I think SOTW will be plenty for my youngers but the older one will need a lot more added. Chris- I am not familiar with paulaarchives, but am assuming this is something I could google and find? Anyone have anything like this for logic stage? I thought about getting my 11 yo SL G to work through on his own but I think he would prefer to just read whole books and not partial bits at a time. I just started homeschooling this week so please give me advice if you think I should go in a different direction! thanks!

The TOG and VP booklists are both on their websites as well. ETA: you could also just use the SL Core G books in SOTW order.
tuesdayschild
Nicole- thanks so much for sharing your link. This is exactly what I am looking for, but I need one for 6th grade! We've added in SL, & other lit, to our SOTW3 & 4 schedules for our logic level DS, which I know is no help to you right now since you are wanting ancients. I'll pop what we've done here anyway and if you don't mind blog visiting (?) scroll down to Lists and Schedules and open the schedules listed as finished schedules. Sorry, no SOTW1 or 2 schedules we covered those in younger years with earlier SL cores and didn't create 'shareable' schedules. Other SL moms have created schedules for SOTW/SL mix matching up the books to SOTW's reading order - SL has it set up with chapters read out of SOTW order, in places. Unfortunately most of those files are on the SL forums :( ... which is no help to you, unless you have SL forum access. Biblioplan sets up a some good schedules for SOTW with whole/living book titles too, they are just not NZ focused enough for us when it comes to 1800's onwards ;). lamolina
Thank you all for this great information! This is very helpful to me as I try to figure this out, especially since I have just moved overseas and can't look at any of it before having someone bring it to us. I will definitely be checking out all these links later tonight! thanks, Nicole
