helena
I'll be listening in on this one. In the meantime here's an old thread I started when my 12yo finished ILL: http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=221439&highlight=ILL hth :001_smile:

faiths13
Id like something not workybooky. I dont know - it seems like everything we've tried (before ILL and SG) just skims over things in one lesson and moves on. So often the kids seem to get it, but if they have review later they dont know how to do it. I would like something that applies grammar to real passages of reading. I will look at Queens again. In2why
I like Killgallon. It reminds me of MCT, but not as expensive and it teaches in context. I really like it after the kids grasp traditional grammar. I don't know how to link with my Kindle but if you look for Storygrammar on Amazon you can see it. Killgallon has a website that has a better preview though. Edited March 6, 2012 by In2why

specialmama
Cozy Grammar is not too workbooky and very engaging. My dd loved it! We only did one of the courses, but if I were still hsing we'd do them all.
faiths13
im confused about the cozy grammar - is it a dvd?
specialmama
The lessons are DVD format, with a charming retired English teacher who uses real world examples as she teaches the material. After the DVD lesson, the student uses worksheets to reinforce what was taught and to increase retention.

helena
We love Cozy Grammar. It's very mellow and... cozy! The kids like to cuddle up and turn on the fireplace while they watch it. The punctuation program is nice too. Here's a sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFGb1Stv8aA
