CatholicMom
Are there any books for up-and-coming sci-fi loving boys? Trying to get ds7 interested in reading on his own so I thought robots, aliens and the like could be the ticket. :tongue_smilie: Anything come to mind? JenneinCA
I don't know if the level is correct, but Commander Toad is my favorite for early science fiction. This is one book in the series. There are several. Commander Toad in Space
swainsonshawk
Maybe it would get your son hooked. My sons liked them! Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot
Iucounu
Here are a few possibilities off the top of my head: Andy Buckram's Tin Men (very old) Matthew Looney's Voyage to the Earth Interstellar Pig The Tripods trilogy It's tough, because of the reading level requirement. There are tons of good books just a little further down the road. There are a lot of "step into reading" type early readers with the usual commercial-gimmick themes (Transformers, etc.), but it's hard to recommend them. Does he like comic books?
