Cassy
I use Galore Park Junior English alongside WWE2 for DS7. DS11 has recently finished WWE4 and so he uses Galore Park So You Really Want to Learn English 1 on its own now (he'll be moving onto SYRWL English 2 in a couple of weeks). I'm feel that's adequate at the moment, as he gets a lot of grammar and vocab from daily Latin lessons, and from French too. DS4 has just started WWE1 :001_smile:. Laura Corin
I just had Hobbes read a lot of the books that were listed at the end of each chapter. Towards the end of his time at home, we added in Bond Assessment Papers, which are test papers to prepare for the school entrance exams he had to take. We sometimes added in a bit more spelling, just because Hobbes likes spelling. When Calvin was using SY English, I combined it with Lightning Literature 7 so that he had experience of reading and commenting on whole pieces of literature. We also began studying other whole works, such as Shakespeare plays, using a variety of materials. Laura
