BMW Posted March 2, 2012 Share Posted March 2, 2012 I just read the first book... I didn't think I wanted to read it because the plot makes me disgusted (maybe that's the point??) BUT I read it knowing that if this shows the redeeming feature of a just uprising against such horrible oppression and the concept of murder as entertainment, then I want to read how that uprising goes and cheer for the overcomers!!! I loved Katniss placing flowers all over Rue... I love that the book ended in the Capitol being upset with her for standing up against wrong and not being willing to kill just because she was told to... I love that it wasn't because of romantic love, but because of right and wrong, caring for someone as a person. Anyway, thanks for sharing!! I'm excited, too!
