BlsdMama
Nine kids and a german shepherd.... Not ideal circumstances for finding a home right? (sigh.) We've been looking for five weeks. Our rental has been sold. Option A. House very close to here but the bedrooms are small. This isn't a problem as the girls choose to share a room now, but they are in the master. In this house the master is the same size as the other rooms or slightly larger. Location is about perfect. 12 month lease Option B. House much further from our community. It has two things going for it. The first is that it is a month to month lease. This would allows us to look for the ideal house at our leisure. Second, it is a great commute. Option C. The perfect house. Yes, it really is. But the distance from Dh's work and our co, op is unhappy... About an hour. 12 month lease.

Scuff
Option c is much too far, even if it is perfect. If you can live with the rooms in A, do that. If it'd be too uncomfy and crowded, even for a year, go with B until you can fond something else.
BlsdMama
Option A is our obvious choice except we TRULY will have to buy a another set of bunk beds to stack the girls... The bedroom is not big. This isn't a problem except there really isn't a "get away" spot outside or inside for the big kids to just be or do school. I've lived in a super small house before and LOVED it, but we had barns and outdoor space.

melissad2
I would take house B til I could find what I truly wanted.
Cinder
My only concern with B is that month-to-month sometimes means the owner is trying to sell. If that's not the case, then would the farther distance from your community cause you to reduce your participation in your activities? If not then B sounds better. If yes, then I'd go with A because it would be a temporary situation and still enable you to be part of a community you want to be a part of. Did that make sense? Sounds like either A or B depending on which is more important to you--the nearness of A or the space and flexibility of B.
BlsdMama
C was just taken out of the equation. We are going to see the other house tonight. Thank you for mentioning that it might be for sale... That would be a deal killer. We just went through showing a house and I am not up for it again. Scuff
Sorry Scuff, I was typing the same time as you! ;) We're thinking alike. Perhaps it won't be a hard decision after all.
