missesd
My 16yr old daughter is terrible with geography and I'd like to add that into her curriculum. Any suggestions??
HollyDay
we've enjoyed Around the World in 180 Days. Next year, we plan to do BJU's Cultural Geography. I've heard good things about it, but never used it before.
5wolfcubs
We're using Tapestry of Grace's Ancients geography recommendations for reading & maps but I've added to it for my highschoolers: http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Geography.htm For learning countries and capitals by continent. http://www.yourchildlearns.com/megamaps.htm My 17yo made a 9 page map of Europe printed from here. http://www.nationalgeographic.com/geobee/ They've spent some time answering questions here. http://harmonyartmom.blogspot.com/2009/08/world-geography-for-high-schoolers.html I just downloaded this today but haven't used perused it yet. Check your library for What the World Eats and Material World. I like them for getting beyond the fact/info level.

charlotteb
www.purposegames.com has tons of geography games (as well as many other subjects). We found it by accident but it was the find of the year last year!
