kalanamak
I don't want to drive all the way in to town to be turned back. Can I take my 9 year old into a PG-13 movie? I'd like to go see The Artist with him, and I have to hang my head and say I've only been to a movie theater once in the last decade. russiantwins
as long as he is accompanied by an adult, they should let him in with you.
EmilyinND
Yes, it's parental guidance to age 13. So, as long as you're going in with your 9 yr. old, it's ok. Have fun!
usetoschool
Nah, anyone can go. R is for restricted, meaning you need a parent or guardian but anything below that will allow anyone in. It is just a warning about what will be contained in the movie.
Renthead Mommy
As long as you are with him. NC-17 means no one under 17 admited with or without a parent. Anything else is fine.
elegantlion
Some theaters don't allow children under 6 in R movies. I think it was after a certain time of the day. But, yes go, enjoy the movie. I took ds to Terminator 4 on opening day and it was R.
kalanamak
Okay, THIS IS NOT FAIR. I hear some music on a classical radio station, and heard mention it was from a 2011 silent movie. I LOVE silent movies. I figure it is some art house ditty. I google our local, 5th run movie art house, and WOW, it is showing. Now I learn it was Academy Award material! Am I going to be able to get my toe in the door? Has everyone seen this already? Was it completely skipped over because USians can't read fast enough and now there will be a throng? Is it likely to come back to BIG big screens, instead of a dank art house with 1950s seats that go SPRONG if you shift the wrong way? Should I wait to see it somewhere the floors won't be sticky?
