momofkhm
I have far too many teenage facebook friends! So far in the last several weeks (not quite back to Jan 1), I've lost 10 pounds, 1 1/2 inches off my waist, and 1/2 inch off my neck. My watch is back to the previous hole. I ended up taking 4 months mostly off (September to January) due to plantar fasciitis. My running times are mostly back to what they were. I'm riding my bike as fast. I'm swimming as well as I did 2 years ago when I was swimming. I still have 27 pounds I'd like to lose. But I am soo happy! And my foot doesn't hurt! joannqn
That's awesome! How did you get rid of the plantar faciitis? My heels have hurt almost daily for 8-9 months. It will lesson for a few days, but it never goes away. I don't run. I walk when I can, but then my heels hurt more. I've kind of learned to just live with it, but it sure would be nice to be rid of the pain.

I bought inserts at Target that said they were for plantar fasciitis and wore shoes most of the time. I tend to be barefoot at home a lot. Of course it was the cooler months so for me it's usually slippers. But this year it was shoes with decent arch support.

I have Morton's Neuroma which makes finding shoes I can wear and wearing them all day difficult. Anything that makes my shoes tighter isn't wearable. MN is more painful than plantar fasciitus so if my shoes are bugging me, taking them off and having heel pain is the better choice.

And gently stretch your feet before you get put of bed in the morning.

I wear New Balance walking shoes that say they were made on their SL-2 mold (wide toe box, normal heel). They were the only kind of shoes I've found that I can wear for more than an hour before my surgery. I'm still having trouble finding wearable shoes so I stick with those.
