k2bdeutmeyer
Is there anything I can do? DS's breath smells awful. His surgery was Monday morning. I know it is not uncommon to have bad breath afterwards, but is there anything I can do to help it? I seriously want to vomit when he's sitting on my lap - yes...it's THAT bad. MariannNOVA
It will pass -- the dried blood smell lingers for awhile. Have him rinse with plain warm water if it is not contraindicated by his post op orders. Sorry -- I know it's.........er, unpleasant. amo_mea_filiis.
It's nasty, there's nothing you can do for it. Once it's healed, it'll go away.
elise1mds
Ditto what everyone else said. Just try not to be in the general vicinity of his mouth without a mask for another week or so. Hope the healing goes well and there are no complications!
