lynn
Has your child had this? A friend mentioned her dd waking up every night not knowing why and I asked her if dd possibly had pinworms. She was insulted that I would suggest this. My dd was waking up every night for several nights in a row not able to explain why after checking with pediatrician she suggested to try pin-x, sure enough dd settled down the next night. I don't know how she got them but she did.
Alice
It's hand-to-mouth transmission. They touch something with pinworm eggs and then put their hand on the mouth. Eggs can be on surfaces touched by someone who had pinworms. Transmission is human to human, not through soil or animals. It's very very common in school age children. redsquirrel
pin worms are SUPER easy to catch. No need to be insulted. If you can catch a cold, you can catch pinworms. It is easier to just think of them as one of the more annoying parts of the human condition. Right up there with lice, pinkeye and the stomach flu
