5Bmom
I am yet to decide on a core for next year... We use CLP Liberty Math now and I was looking at their science, social studies, and art. DS is super workbook-ish (for now). I don't see CLP mentioned on here much so I was just looking for input.

Crazyderiver
I really like the nature readers and phonics program. The phonics, Adventures in Phonics, has a lot of writing which my dd likes. It is thourough! The spelling program is well liked by others, but I haven't seen it IRL. What are your goals for history and science? That might help others chime in about whether CLP materials would be a good fit.
blessedmom3
I LOVE their phonics program, the readers (esp. Nature readers) , the spelling is excellent, some of their history, particularly gr.1 ,3 and 4.The science is just ok,but in younger grades I prefer books. The handwriting books re good . Personally, I would love Sonlight to mest my goals, but I do not think DS will 1) sit still for lots of books 2) retain well and 3) enjoy it. He doesn't like crafty stuff but he loves science experiments if they are not super lengthy. So my goals for him are to learn, retain, and enjoy. I want it to be fun for him... And fun for him now is sitting doing math worksheets, lol. He lovex the drynesx of the CLP math. Christian based is important to me. Not time consuming is important to me. I am not worried about passing it down too DD. She will not be the workbook type.
