Clpretzel
I always read about Kilgallon as an aside for LA. I just want to say I think it's amazing-my new favorite subject.

Haiku
I am toying with the idea of using this for ds9, who I think really needs explicit instruction in this stuff, but it's basically a matter of finding time to do it all ... SunnyDays
Do you buy both books? I'd like to know this as well.... I looked at the Amazon previews, and both books in the Elementary level look similar. It also appears that this is not a complete program, but more of a supplement? Sigh... I really need to stop hanging out here. I get too many ideas. ;)

If your goal is to have your kids write essays or understand English grammar, it is a supplement.
RobinL in Canada
Kilgallon fan here; have used them with all four boys alongside IEW-style writing. I like the way he presents the sentence parts as not only openers but also subject-verb splits and closers; and I love the literary examples/ excerpts. Highly recommended.
