Guest
Does a child need to start this in 1st grade? Can they start at 3rd with no problems?
warneral
We started at GWG2 and WWW2 and GWG3 and WWW3 this year. Both of my children had been in public school so already had some basic understanding of some of the concepts. At level 3, my ds felt it was a lot of writing, but not hard. He also was not retaining anything from GWG so we switched to FLL3. We're keeping WWW3 but I'll go to only WWE next year.
serendipitous journey
(deleted this for being off-topic -- I'm so spacey today!!! We're still in first grade, so I have no idea really) Edited February 21, 2012 by serendipitous journey

hsmom2011
I have been thinking about this same topic. I plan to start my dd in WWW next year for grade 2. I'm not sure if I should buy level 1 or level 2?
atozmom
We started DS off in level 2 with no problems this year. I think it will be fine.
warneral
Level 2 has been simple for my dd. She likes it. Level 3 is when the writing picks up pace for grammar and writing.
Guest
Thank you all for the reassurances. I get antsy because my younger 2 are older than normal for K/1st. I am always getting confused about what I need to add next.
