Mommie_Jen
My oldest is turning 5 in a few weeks and we will be moving him to a high backed booster from the 5 pt harness. Previously, I was going to buy a Nautilus, but that was a year or so ago and I've decided to not go with a new harness seat that converts to a booster. I was reading about the Graco Turbo booster earlier tonight. Any others to look at? or stay away from?
In the Rain
We've been happy with our Graco Turbo Boosters. Because our girls will be sitting in the boosters for years to come, I let mine choose their own. They tried out different models at the baby store and Target, and chose based on comfort and fabric. The employee of the high end baby store, who was also some type of certified car seat installer, told us that brand names aren't as important for boosters as they are for 5 point harnesses. He said it is all about positioning your kid at the right height for the seat belt to do its work. He basically said that the best booster is the one the child will sit in willingly and correctly. :001_smile:
Guest
We have 3 of them. All 5 of my kids have always used Graco boosters. We bought 2 at Babies-R-Us for the boys and F's at Target (she wanted pink!). Target has better prices. The Walmart versions did not seem as 'cushy to the tushy' as the others. Probably just my imagination, though.
creativish
We started with a turbo booster but my kids were having a hard time buckling their seat belts-- which is very difficult with 3 car seats in a row. So we invested in convertibles that can be harnessed to 80-85 lbs, the Britax Frontiers and Radians and have been happy so far and I'm expecting them to last through all our kids.
