athomemom Posted February 20, 2012 Share Posted February 20, 2012 We are currently using Writing Strands and it works well. We are using level 3. This book seemed like a good starting point. I am familiar with WordSmith as well. It looks like they have a new book out for 7-9 grades. I guess I would be open for other options for 8th grade, but if anyone can compare the above it would be helpful. Both are good programs and are easy to follow and teach.
