Stellalarella
We spent two weeks on projects. It was fun. Truly. Each child chose a destination to research in depth--history, culture, geography, model, art, music. They made a presentation board, built a 3-D model of something and we had a mini-food festival. They got a "budget" and planned a trip for the whole family. (Did you know you can't really get hotel rooms for 8?) Anyway, we are now "back" from Washington D. C., The redwoods in northern California, Hawaii, and France. This means we are back to: All About Spelling Grammar Latin Phonics, phonics, phonics and more phonics Writing instruction Copywork Dictation AND ME needing to do actual lesson plans. Deep breath. Do you know what I mean?
my2boysteacher
How fun! I've been thinking of trying something like that with my kiddos. It seems it would be a nice late winter break. :001_smile:

Stellalarella
What a great idea! You must have had a blast! We did have a blast, but coming back to classical homeschooling is a bit of a shock. :001_smile:
