MathGirl
My daughters (8 and almost 4) share a room and love to listen to stories on CD before bed. What have been your kids' favorites?
Jen in PA
We loved the Paddington books read by Stephen Frye!
meggie
My son loved Charlotte's Web. I also downloaded a bunch from the Booksshouldbefree.com site and he's listening to Five Little Peppers and How They Grew. I've never heard or read that story, but he seems to like it. Other ideas: Little House on the Prairie Books, Narnia, Beverly Cleary books, Peter Pan, Secret Garden, ummmm that's all I can think of. I don't know your thoughts/opinions on Harry Potter, but I've been listening to the ones by Jim Dale. They are absolutely amazing! He's the best audiobook narrator I've ever come across. And I loved him in Pushing Daisies too; he's just phenomenal.
milovany
Freddy the Detective books are a huge hit here. We listen to them on long car trips, but have listened to them at home once in awhile, too.

Erica in OR
Hank the Cowdog books on audio were a hit with our kids when they were younger. Erica in OR
nono
Latest favorite is The Hoboken Chicken Emergency. The copy from our library is read by the author, which makes it a spot-on listen, imho. :) P.S. We do the same each night too. I have an Audible. com subscription to try to keep up.
