Maus
Which pencil sharpeners work best on the big pencils like the Lyra Ferby Color Giants or the Crayola Write-Starts? Just any old two-hole sharpener, since the thicker leads don't break as easily?
Kareni
We've used a variety of sharpeners over the years with our Lyra pencils. I prefer a German sharpener rather than one made in China. And we've had no problem with lead breakage with the Ferbys. Regards, Kareni

I also like the Staedtler sharpeners you can get in the drafting section at Staples - they have holes for both regular and fat pencils. JudoMom
For the Crayola Write Starts, I've always just used whatever sharpener I have around. I've never had an issue. I've never used the Lyra pencils, so I can't comment on that.
