SquirrellyMama Posted February 16, 2012 Share Posted February 16, 2012 My oldest sister has cancer and I'm taking my kids out to see her in Tennessee. We'll be leaving next week for a five day trip. She isn't doing well and I think this will be the last time I see her. We aren't all that close mainly because we didn't grow up together. She and my other sister lived with their dad and I lived with our mom and my dad. My kids have never met her so this will be a trip for them to get to know her as well as one for me to know her better also. I'm sad. I suppose it is the sadness of losing someone but also the sadness of regret. Regret for the years I didn't try harder to become closer to her.
