Mom0012
Search "visualize world geography" instead of "visual world geography" and you should get some results. I recently did this because I was interested in the program. Mostly, what I saw was one very positive review from someone who had borrowed the dvds from their coop and a few reviews that were negative enough that I decided not to buy the program. I suspect it might be great for visual spatial learners, but none of us fit that category here. I'm now looking into Ellen McHenry's Mapping the World with Art because I have seen many positive reviews for this over the years. Kuovonne
I have it. The DVDs are great for memorizing the names and locations of the countries. That's the main thing it does, and it does it well, if you don't mind very bad puns. The DVD also has "social studies" video clips for the countries. However it does't go as in-depth as most geography programs. I wouldn't do the program without the DVDs, and it is expensive.

Shellydon
Apparently the program was called Visual WG, then the name changed to Visualize.
Mom0012
Well, it is good to hear some more positive reviews. I may have to take another look at it. My son actually learned all the countries in K and 1st grade by using http://www.sheppardsoftware.com. He still knows them and I just have him use the software once a month at this point to review. He has also learned the capitals of the states and European countries as well as some of physical features. My daughter has learned a lot on Sheppard software as well, but she hasn't been as motivated and that's why I was looking into Visualizing World Geography. I also thought it would be cool to recognize countries not only by their location, but by their shape as well. VWV is just so expensive!
