~Amanda~
would you recommend starting with 4 if you had a 5th grader and 6th grader, you weren't quite sure of their grammar level (pretty sure its not great, just pulled out of PS?) Do I need both the work book and the teacher's book?
Bloggermom
I started my almost 11 year old, 5th grader in First Language Lessons 3 (FLL3). We are doing a lesson every day until we finish through First Language Lessons 4 (FLL4). You WILL need both the student and teacher books. Chrysalis Academy
Yes, you need both the teacher & student books, although I have the teacher book as a pdf on my laptop while dd uses the student book. I have never used earlier levels of FLL, but I started DD9 on FLL4 when I brought her home from ps 4th grade in November, and she was fine with it. It starts at the very beginning, and has tons of review. I am glad we started with FLL4, we would have been bored if it were easier. wy_kid_wrangler04
I was recommended FLL3 to start in with my 4th grader. She has had quite a bit of grammar up til now though and so far its all review. We JUST started today though so I have not looked much beyond lesson 3.
