children's dictionary? I'm looking for one for my third and fourth grade daughters. I was hoping to find one that has nice size print as one dd has a hard time with too many words on a page or words too close together. Thanks, Gina

We have the DK Merriam-Webster Children's Dictionary. I think it's great for elementary students. It is readable, the font is good, there is enough space on the page that you can keep your place, and there are high-quality photographs. It isn't cartoonish at all. And, it has had all of Michael Clay Thomas's "classic words" that we've tried to look up so far, so that's a good thing! The definitions are complete without being overwhelming, and there is a sentence or phrase showing how the word is used after many, not all, of the words. It doesn't include word derivations, though.
