lorrainejmc
Painted white or pine? The only other furniture staying in the room will be the train table which is pine. We will get fitted storage to match whichever we choose. The bedlinen will stay the same; it is mainly red. This decision is driving me crazy. :willy_nilly::willy_nilly:
LinRTX
I would do pine. Linda
Starr
I like pine. It grows with boys.
flopsymopsy
We did white for the girls and stained the boys pine bed with a blue stain. White furniture in my mind is for girls and wood is for boys.
sweetbasil
I have painted white bunkbeds for my girls and they have gotten really beat up over the years, despite being quite good quality. In retrospect I should have done a light or dark wood, nothing painted. eta, because it may have been confusing -- I didn't paint the bunkbeds myself, they came with the factory painted white finish. Tap
I would go with natural wood like the pine. It will dent, but the paint won't chip off.
Lisa in the UP of MI
Both of our sets of bunk beds are a natural wood color.
lorrainejmc
:party:I just ordered the pine! That's what my sensible head was telling me anyway.:D
StephanieZ
Go with the pine. Anything painted will get dinged up, and not look so pretty in a few years. Wood won't look any worse dinged up. :) I love wood.
