Tarreymere
I have R&S Spelling for third grade and I haven't used the Teacher's guide......
2_girls_mommy
Put me in the cheap list too. I don't buy them. I do have the 2nd grade spelling teacher book, and the suggestions are so easy that I have never opened it since I bought it. I did enjoy reading it as it goes into how they chose the words and how spelling is taught when I first got it. I felt like I got a mini college class on the topic :) I have used through grade 5 and have never bought the teacher's after the 2nd grade. I add dictation on my own, and work on the whiteboard with the current rule if I need to work with them.
Mandylubug
great; thanks ladies. I am planning on using the R&S spelling to supplement MCT being that it only has a vocabulary segment. My boys have a great vocabulary that they understand; spelling not so much ha ha
boscopup
I've sometimes had to look up answers in the TM because we weren't sure what the picture was. I buy them, since they are cheap.
MrsMe
I agree with the picture thing. Plus I get them because I don't want to do the work to make sure the answers are correct. It takes twice as long to correct. I'd buy them used.
