Sew happily ever after
What are the options besides the Apologia series? We like and have used many of the elementary ones but I'm not impressed by the upper level books.
jenni33
We used The Rainbow at our co-op this year. It was a little light for my son, and I ended up supplementing Apologia at home. I like The Rainbow because it's written directly to the student. The downside is, there is not much teaching help in the Teacher's Helper should you find yourselves not understanding something. The Rainbow is for 7th-9th gr.and they also have high school Chemistry. It is from Beginnings Publishing: http://beginningspublishing.com/version2/rainbow.htm The 101 series is pretty popular as well. They are DVD's, with a guide for assigning credit. There is no textbook, you will supplement with living books. They have biology and chemistry: http://the101series.com/ For upper level, that's about all I personally know of for science. Check out Cathy Duffy's website-she has a very long list of a lot of different science cirricula. http://cathyduffyreviews.com/science/science-index.htm Hope that gives you a good starting place!
