momto2Cs
:party:My dd8, a very reluctant learning reader, started Reading Eggs today. She took the placement test and ended up at Map 5, which made her happy because she didn't have to start right at the beginning. She did 3 lessons! And asked for more! I am in awe - this is the same girl I have had to bribe or cajole into doing other phonics programs! We'll see how long the "honeymoon" phase lasts, but for now, whoo hooo! JOHNNABONNA
We LOOOOVE it too it has turned my two girls who hate to read into little readers who beg to do the lessons on there! Even my ds 4 has learned sooo much from it!
deanna1949
We're going to give this a try! I used the codes from babycenter.com that somebody mentioned on a previous post (THANKS!), and I signed up for a free trial that should last about 2 years. I didn't enter the remaining codes. We'll see how it goes.
mommy5
We've also liked using this program! My 7 yr old has started reading a bit more confidently in the 3 weeks he has been on it and my 4 yr old has started sounding out cvc words! BlueTaelon
Just a word of warning, we've had them for a couple of months and went to cancel before the next billing cycle only to discover they billed 4 days early and are refusing to refund at this point claiming I used a promo code to get Jan free yet I show I paid without stopping for the entire 3 months we've had it. Waiting to hear back. Anyway it hasn't been that great a program for my kindy kid. Headsprout seems to be a better fit for us. 3 months of Reading Eggs and no real progress, its just been playtime for her with no retention or built in review.
