RainbowSprinkles
What are the benefits of going gluten-free when a person doesn't have celiacs? How hard is this to do? Would I have to cook everything from scratch? Are there many gluten-free products out there yet? What is naturally gluten-free? Any links you would recommend reading through? Brownies, pizza, breads, cookies, pancakes, etc. Benefits for me were feeling a bit better, more energy, weight loss.

In the Rain
How about pasta? Is there gluten-free pasta? It's kinda our go to meal if there is nothing else, I'd be lost without pasta. lol My sister introduced us to Tinkyada pasta. It is acceptable to dh and the kids. I don't really care for pasta, so lately I've been using spaghetti squash for myself.
elegantlion
I've been gluten free since Jan 1. I don't have celiacs but I was having issues such as joint pain and bloating. Some benefits besides the elimination of those is better skin quality. My skin feels amazing. I've never had major skin issues, but wow, there is a noticeable difference. I have more energy. I don't know that I've lost weight, but I feel less draggy and bloated. I'm the only one gluten free in the house, so cooking is more of an issue. We live in small town and even recently our Walmart has started stocking more gluten free products. It's much easier now that is was when I tried two years ago. RainbowSprinkles
Does gluten-free give you the same benefits as organic foods? Or are there also gluten-free organic products?

My dd has been gluten free since September. Then last month when I took my ds to the dr. for reflux problems she suggested that maybe he could also have problems with gluten, but with different symptoms. I can't say for sure that going gluten free helped with his reflux since the dr. told him to take a daily Prevacid, but in just three weeks of eating gf his bad acne went away! ( He's been to the dermatologist and has used several tubes of prescriptions to try to control the acne but nothing worked like this diet change!) Right now I'm reading Wheat Belly (by William Davis M.D.) and he explains all the health benefits of going gluten free. You might find some helpful info. in it.
