DawnM
I am somehow on some list to get calls about lowering my interest rate. They call from different area codes and different numbers and it is an automated call that says something like: "It is urgent that you speak to us to lower your interest rate to as low as 6.9%. This is a limited time offer so consider this your final notice. Press 3 to speak to an operator." The problem is, I never actually ANSWER these calls as they are when I am not home, so it is a message on my machine. Yes, I would LOVE to lower my interest rate from 3.37% to 6.9%. ARGHGGG!!!!!!!!! I don't have call blocking and even if I did, these are different numbers.....one is from Miami, one is from Minnesota, and another was from Kansas. Anything I can do? jillian
I would search the numbers and see if you can get a company name and then call the company and demand that they stop.
Sharpie
I am right there with you! I have pushed the option to be taken off their calling list to no avail. Yesterday I pushed the option to take advantage of the offer so I could get a live person. I explained the situation and she hung up on me. I wasn't happy! :glare: I then hit redial on my phone and the automated voice that answered indicated what company was calling and gave me an option to be taken off their calling list. I need to find where to report such calls since they come from so many different numbers.

ssavings
Answer, press to talk, then tell the person to, "Please remove me from all your calling lists." If they keep calling afterwards, then tell the operator you will notify the FTC if they fail to remove you from their lists, as you have requested before to be removed. DawnM
I can't. I am never home to actually answer. It is a voicemail. DawnM
Ok, I called one of the numbers and it did give me the option to get off the list. I have put my number in and hope I am off now. It said, "You have been reached for telemarketing purposes." NO details. Shady, shady, shady.

KFK
Go to the FCC website and fill out the online complaint form. You don't have to fill it in perfectly, just the parts that pertain to you and these calls, as best as you can. Also, 99.9% of the time, just threatening the caller with with your intentions of reporting them to the FCC will stop the calls in their tracks!
