Tiffani
for a 3rd grade girl? I'm not sure what reading grade level she's on and she's coming from public school, but since I'm using it w/ my boys I wondered if it would be appropriate for her too. Thanks, Tiffani
Annie Laurie
If she's coming from public school, I think AW might be a nice, relaxed and fun transition. You can buy the older learners science resources and the new journal and get more in depth with nature study and notebooking.
Jan in SC
It would be fine if you used the older kids program with it. Otherwise, I don't think so. We used it last year as our science program and it was a hit with my younger boys, but my older (7) first grader found it very boring! SnowWhite
Right, only if you used the combined program with PreK-1st and 2nd and up. I am planning to let my bgf use our AW program with her 3rd grader for his science. He will have a separate history program going on. jenn&charles
I used it for my 3rd grader for science and he loved it. (We used the 2nd grade + resources.) If I had beefed it up with the extra reading suggestions for older students and added in some lapbooks or something for the habitats, it would have been enough for a core curriculum for him at that age.
